The Editors of the History Channel had an article republished by A&E Television Networks on September 21, 2020 that gives a concise description of the origins of Halloween.
How far back in history did the history editors go to tell their story of Halloween? Way back. Like Stonehenge days, when the Celts celebrated the new year on November 1st. The editors of history.com said:
“This day marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with human death. Celts believed that on the night before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. On the night of October 31 they celebrated Samhain, when it was believed that the ghosts of the dead returned to earth.”
I love the part about the boundaries getting blurred between the living and the dead. And because I CUT provides a new perspective on those boundaries I thought, “What a great day to introduce my book.”
Through this blog and social media, I plan to tell my story as a writer working hard to get his book published. From inspiration through perspiration, I will share the details of my journey with you the reader, and all of your mystery loving friends.
That’s new!
As a reader, has an author ever asked you to join in the creative process? Most likely your answer is never. But not now! Follow me as I struggle through the minefields of book publishing. Learn how an author copes with the hurdles of writing a book he hopes others will enjoy. Watch a new literary character’s birth and growth from inside the creator’s own head, without the author undergoing radical surgery!
Halloween is the start of the Michael Law Mysteries series, and I promise this ancient day of spookiness will play a major role in I CUT.
Happy Halloween!

Awesome website 😎. I can’t wait for your book to be published. It sounds like it will be a nail biter.
I love the spooky website! I’m looking forward to reading the book. My best wishes for your success!
